Kiwi asks…

What does "kind of" mean here?

Answer from a Native speaker

teacher

Rebecca

In this context, "kind of" is just a filler word that doesn't have any specific meaning. "Kind of" does not have any rules where to be put in the sentence, so you can use anywhere you want. Ex: I was thinking kind of doing the same thing. "Kind of" also means "slightly", "a little". Ex: I am kind of hungry. Ex: I feel kind of tired.
