What's "blow it" mean?

If someone "blows it," it means they failed to take advantage of a situation or they messed up and made a mistake! Ex: We blew it. We totally forgot it was Kelly's birthday. Ex: Don't blow this performance. = Don't mess up this performance. Ex: I blew it once with Ashton, and I won't blow it again.
