A "genius" is a person who is very intelligent and has his or her way of thinking and solving problems. A "prodigy" is a child who has mastered a skill, usually under the age of ten years old. Ex: He is a genius! He can solve any math problem you give him. Ex: Warren Buffet is considered a genius in the business world. Ex: Joey Alexander is a prodigy who has mastered playing the piano and is only 13 years old. Ex: She is considered a prodigy in the arts.
