What does "you" refer to?
Native speaker’s answer
Rebecca
The pronoun "you" here is used generally to refer to a person in general or an unspecified person. "You" can often be used in place of "one" or "one's". Ex: It's always a good idea to have a first-aid kit because you never know when you'll need it. Ex: Fruits and vegetables are good for you.
