What is the difference between "How come it cost you 53 dollars?" and "How does it cost you 53 dollars?" or "How was it 53 dollars?"
"How come" is an informal way of asking how or why something happened. There is no real difference between "how come it cost you $53", "how does it cost you $53" and "how was it $53". All three of these sentences are asking for an explanation as to why it cost $53. Ex: How come you're so late? Ex: So how come you miss the train?
