What's the difference between the word "may" and "might"?

"May" and "might" are fairly similar. These words are both used to make comparisons about the possibility of something happening. "May" is used to indicated that something is likely to happen. "Might" is used to indicate that something is a possibility but no one knows for certain. Ex: I may be going to Belize next summer. Ex: She might be leaving the show. Ex: He may be going to his grandma's this weekend. Ex: They might be closing the restaurant.
