[sustantivo] + [-wise] actúa como adjetivo o adverbio, y su significado puede interpretarse como concerning/with respect to (alrededor de ~). Sin embargo, hay casos en los que no se utiliza el guión (-) y se combina con la palabra. Algunos ejemplos son clockwise(en el sentido de las agujas del reloj) y lengthwise(largo, largo). De esta manera, cuando quieras decir algo sobre algo, puedes usar wise. Ejemplo: Lengthwise, the pool is quite small. (En términos de longitud, este grupo es bastante pequeño). Ejemplo: Time-wise, we have to leave very early in the morning to get there. (Por falta de tiempo, hay que salir muy temprano para llegar por la mañana). Ejemplo: I'm really excited to visit there cafe-wise. I heard there are so many! (Hablando de cafés, estoy muy feliz de visitar allí, ¡porque he oído que hay tantos cafés allí!)
