En este caso, "not everything is black and white" simplemente hace referencia a que los perros no ven más que el color blanco y el negro. Sin embargo, la expresión "black and white" es una frase hecha en otros contextos que significa que todo está muy claro y que no hay lugar a confusión o ambigüedad. Ej: "Love isn't always black and white. Sometimes there is confusion in a relationship." (El amor no es siempre blanco y negro. A veces existen malentendidos en las relaciones.) Ej: "Don't try and make excuses, my instructions were black and white so you shouldn't have been confused." (No intentes ponerme excusas. Es blanco o es negro, así que no tienes por qué haberte líado con mis instrucciones.)
