student asking question

I see 'd occasionally, but I don't know what 'd means? And in what situation can I use "'d"?

Great question! I'd means I would or I could. It'd means it could or it would. You'd means you could or you would. It is just a short abbreviation so you don't have to say or write out the entire phrase. You can use the 'd in most cases as long as the 'd means could or would. Here are some example sentences: Ex: You'd be a star if you were on this show! Ex: I'd do that too! Ex: It'd be a good idea if you cleaned the house before guests show up! Thank you for your question!
