How come “Am I doin’ it” is translated into "I'm doing well"?

When he says "am I doin' it" he is asking for validation on his ability to play or "do" the game. "Doin'" is short for "doing", and "doin' it" just means to do something. So when you ask, "am I doin' it?", you are questioning whether you are successful at what you are doing or if you are doing something well.
