UKè l'abbreviazione di The United Kingdom. Come per The United States of America(Stati Uniti d'America) o The United Arab Emirates(Emirati Arabi Uniti), è grammaticalmente corretto aggiungere the articoli. Esempio: I want to go to the Netherlands for my summer vacation. (Voglio andare in Olanda per le mie vacanze estive) Esempio: Have you ever been to the Philippines before? (Sei mai stato nelle Filippine?) Esempio: For our honeymoon, we booked a stay at a 5-star hotel in the Maldives.
