A "director" is the person in charge. They make sure that every scene is done to fit their vision, they tell the actors what to do and how to react, etc. The "producer" is in charge of the financial and marketing aspects of the movie. They hire staff, set the movie budget, etc. Ex: Christopher Nolan is a famous film director and producer. He is known for directing and producing Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and many others. Ex: Many actors are producers of the films they are in.
