Why is "You are home" correct instead of "You are in home"?

Native speaker’s answer

Rebecca

In terms of prepositional phrases, "in home" is incorrect and "at home" is preferable. However, in this video the speaker says "you are home," which has the same meaning as "you are at home." It's just another way of indicating that one is in one's place of residence. Ex: I'm going to get in trouble with the teacher. I left my homework at home. Ex: I'm home now. I just got home ten minutes ago.
