Not <adjective> enough是指某人做某事未達標準,此處哈利雖然用隱形斗篷,但他不夠機靈才會被衛斯理雙胞胎發現。 例:Jen thinks that she is not pretty enough to be a model. (珍認為她長得不夠漂亮,因此才無法當模特兒。) 例:My school project was not good enough to get an A. (我在學校的專題做得不夠好,才無法得A。) 例:We worked hard on this problem, but not hard enough since the problem is not solved. (我們試圖去解決問題,但卻沒用對方法。) 例:Is my room clean enough? (我的房間應該夠乾淨了吧?) 例:I was not smart enough to get into a good university. (我不夠聰明,因此無法申請到好大學。)
