Good question. Moon used the words "same old pair" to say that her pair of glasses is not new or she has not changed them at all. "Same old" means that something or someone has not changed. Ex: They have been married for 20 years, but they still have that same old love. Ex: A: How are you? B: Same old. (Nothing new)
