Correct. When referring to food, loaf is only used to refer to bread. Ex: I baked a loaf of bread. Ex: I bought a couple loaves of bread from the bakery. In informal terms, however, "loaf" means something different. A "loaf" is a lazy, idle person who spends time doing nothing. It can also be used as a verb to mean that one is idling away or spending time doing nothing. Ex: He was a loaf and hadn't found a job despite graduating several years ago. Ex: I didn't feel like doing anything this weekend, so I just loafed around my house.
