Would it be okay to say "bed" instead of "sleep" in this context?

In this context, "sleep" is best to say. Since they are already in bed, the girls can't go to "bed". If they were not physically in bed, "bed" would have been fine! Ex: Kids! It's time for bed. Go brush your teeth and get into bed. Ex: Are you girls still awake? Stop reading and go to sleep!
