To be able to "take it" means to be able to endure something physically or mentally. When someone says that they "can't take it," it means that they cannot bear or endure a situation anymore. Ex: I can't take this weather anymore! It's way too cold! Ex: She couldn't take it anymore. She felt sad and unhappy everyday.
