What's the difference between "dough" and "crust"? Aren't they both compose the frame of the pie?

You're very close! A "dough" is an uncooked "crust". You also make a "dough" to form the base of a pizza, bread, cookies, and other pastries. However, it is always the raw form. Ex: The pizza dough is ready to be rolled out. Ex: Terrance's favourite ice cream flavour was the one that had cookie dough in it.
