What's the main difference between "audition" and "interview?" Are they interchangeable?

This is a good question! For most jobs, candidates will go through an interview, which is a sit-down meeting to assess one's suitability for the job. It's usually in the form of questions and answers. An audition is a performance, used to assess a candidate's talent or actual skills. So they are two different forms of the recruitment process. Ex: I have an audition for a musical tomorrow. Ex: I have an interview for a marketing manager position.
