What does this "pull [something]" mean? Could you give me some examples?

To "pull something off" means to succeed at doing something or to achieve or accomplish something that is likely difficult to do. In this case, the speaker is complimenting the actress' acting skills. Ex: How did you pull that magic trick off? It looks so hard. Ex: It'll be hard to pull it off, but we can try our best.
