The literal meaning of "regurgitate" is to bring food back up to the mouth again- to vomit or be sick. It can also be applied to other things that you can repeat, sometimes without fully understanding it. Ex: Jane regurgitated the whole of the movie after they watched it. Ex: I could regurgitate the whole of the U.S constitution after reading it. But I didn't know what it meant. Ex: Birds regurgitate their food for their chicks.
