What's the main difference between "process" and "progress"?

Good question. Generally when we talk about "process", it means we are focused on the actions or steps taken in doing some task or job. Ex: The manufacturing process for paper is actually relatively simple. However, when we talk about "progress", it means that we are much more focused on the destination or goal of something. Ex: We have made a lot of progress in completing our project.
