But it can also be used metaphorically to refer to gaining something one wants or an advantage. It's also often said as "score big" in verb form. Ex: It was a big score when I bought stocks last year. => gained big investment Ex: They scored big during the basketball game. Ex: I need a big score this semester. => a "win" or something good to happen
