Simply put, an examination is usually longer than a test or is more complex and substantial than a test. In school, you may have several shorter tests before having your final exam at the end of the semester. Or, medically speaking, you can get a blood test, which could be a part of a full-body exam. Another way test is used is in smaller experiments and checks, such as in this video, where they are testing the dolphin's capabilities for a short time. Ex: I'm testing my invention to see if it works. Ex: We need to examine your invention to see what we can do better. Ex: My mother went for a full-body examination to see if anything is wrong. She got blood tests done yesterday.
