student asking question

What's the main difference between the exclamation "eh", "huh" and "oi?" I've seen these expressions a lot in comic books, but it's hard to tell the difference!

"Huh" is most often used as an exclamation to ask a question or express confusion. Ex: Huh? What did you say? Ex: That was a big dog, huh? Meanwhile, "eh" is similar in meaning to "huh" and other exclamations like "isn't it?" or "you know." It's also used as a conversation filler. Ex: Nice weather today, eh? Ex: That was a good meal, eh? Meanwhile, "oi" is a bit of an aggressive exclamation used to attract someone's attention. It's more often used in the UK and can be used to address someone who's done something like bump into you or inconvenience you in someway. Ex: Oi, watch where you're going! Ex: Oi! You spilled your drink on my shirt.
