"Here we are" means to arrive at the desired destination; to be at the location that you were looking for. You can use this phrase in many different situations: arriving at a place you have never been before, arriving at a place you have been before, bringing someone over to your home, etc. It is a very versatile phrase and is understood by most native English speakers. Ex: Here we are! Home sweet home. Ex: Here we are. We made it. A: Is this his house? B: Yup! Here we are.
