What does "MP" stands for?

The term "MP" simply means Member of Parliament. Parliament here refers to the two Houses that work on behalf of UK citizens to check and challenge the work of the Government, make and shape effective laws, and debate/make decisions on the big issues of the day. Ex: My dad was a local MP when he was younger. Ex: I imagine it is quite stressful being an MP.
