What does "drawing room" mean?

Contrary to what the name suggests, a "drawing room" is actually a large, comfortable room in which one could relax or entertain guests. It's similar to the living rooms we have today! Ex: Please bring our guests to the drawing room for some refreshments. Ex: I like to dance and chat with guests in the drawing room.
