Kiwi asks…

When can I use the expression "it didn't sound right to me either"? Could you give some example situations?

Answer from a Native speaker

Rebecca

The sentence "it didn't sound right to me either" can be used when someone agrees that something sounds wrong or incorrect. However, it is not really a general expression, and there are many variations of ways you can express this idea. Ex: A: Did you hear that the school is going to close? B: That doesn't sound right. A: I know, it doesn't sound right to me either.
