"Building of trust" can be used to describe either trust that does not exists yet and still needs to be built, or trust that is being built, depending on the context. "Building trust" only describes trust currently being built. Here, "building of trust" describes trust that still needs to be built. Ex: Our relationship needs some building of trust for it to last. Ex: The building of trust we are doing with our customers is amazing. Ex: I am building trust with my friend when I don't cancel plans with her last minute.
