Native speaker’s answer

Rebecca

Native speakers tend to slur or shorten words a lot, so "probably" often sounds more like "prolly" or "prally." It is sometimes typed out as "prolly" in texts and casual emails as well. In formal contexts, however, you cannot pronounce or type it in this way. Ex: I'll prolly reach your house in ten. Ex: It's prolly gonna rain tomorrow. "Slow it down" is an informal expression used to tell others to reduce the speed of something, or to "slow down" and not rush. Ex: Hey buddy, slow it down. This is a normal street, we're not in a race here. Ex: The machine is moving too quickly. Can you slow it down?
