「search」比「investigation」還更廣義。「search」可視為「investigation」的一部分。「search」（搜查）的意思是仔細搜尋某物。「investigation」（調查）的意思是針對某個人或情況去調查，以追尋真相與發掘事實。 例： I'm searching for my glasses.
