Isn't "takeaway" a term used in restaurant?

That's right! "Takeaway" is usually used when getting food from the restaurant to take back home. It's used as a kind of metaphor here! As if treating someone's heart like "takeaway." You take it and run away without actually caring about them or are too scared to fall in love. Ex: Let's get takeaway for dinner tonight. Ex: He's treating my heart like takeaway.
